Our Story
Our founder, Rhanda Clarke realized she didn't wear half the clothes in her wardrobe. Sounds familiar, doesn't it?
In 2015, she started the Facebook page, The Dress Shop to sell/swap her own dresses.
Secondhand clothing is more and more popular now that we are starting to realize the effect that "Fast Fashion" has on our planet. We are becoming aware of our environmental footprint which results in a growing interest in sustainable fashion. Thanks to this The Dress Shop opened its online store in 2020.
Save The Planet
Bye bye textile waste! More people wearing secondhand means less waste. If everyone bought just one used item instead of new this year, we would save almost 6 billions pounds of carbon emissions.
